This spring, service sites are still recruiting UMBC students to commit to weekly service through the 096 Community Service & Learning Practicum. The hope is to fill sites within the next week or so; orientations will soon follow.

Sites include:
  • Creative Coders (Tuesday & Thursday at Arbutus Middle School)
  • Sherman Early Literacy Program (Monday & Wednesday at Bay Btook EMS; Tuesday & Thursday at Curtis Bay EMS).  See flyer below
  • Lakeland Math Coaching (Monday, Wed. & Friday - Tuesdays are full).  Sign up for Lakeland Math Coaching HERE

096 Practicum Spring 2020 student learning outcomes: 
  • Describe awareness of community assets and needs
  • Demonstrate a sense of social responsibility
  • Exhibit intercultural awareness and perspective-taking
  • Demonstrate critical self-reflection and learning from experience

  • Strengthen interpersonal communication and collaboration
