What 2024-25 Shriver LLC applicants should know:

  • Community Engagement links us all together across majors, hometowns, career goals, and lived experiences. Weekly service with one of our community partners is required for the 2024-2025 year.
  • There are openings for 21 first-year students
  • Interviews will be facilitated by 2024-25 Shriver LLC Leadership (Returning Peer Mentors and the Resident Assistant).  Their Bios will be posted by mid-May! Interview dates coming soon
  • UMBC Housing Applications MUST be completed in order to be considered for the Shriver LLC
  • In the Fall, all first-year students will take Shriver LLC UNIV 101, happening Wednesdays, 1:00-2:15pm
  • A Spring shared academic experience, SOCY 396, is also required
  • Socially, our students plan UMBC on-campus professional development opportunities, social activities, museums trips, talent shows, dinners, hikes, ice cream nights. The community and belonging is strong!
  • Staff and Shriver LLC members (current and past) will be paneling and tabling at “Accepted Students Day” on Saturday, April 13th.
