Description

Join us this Constitution and Citizenship Day as we listen to guest speaker Carla Pratt, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Law at Penn State University, Dickinson School of Law, discuss the recent Supreme Court decision involving affirmative action in higher education.

Also, immediately following the lecture, Dean Pratt will hold a meeting after the lecture to discuss law school at Penn State. It is an opportunity for students to ask questions about the law school admissions process, the 'dreaded LSAT,'
and life as a lawyer.

Students interested in the law, community service, and social justice
might be particularly interested in Pratt's talk and visit.

A description of the Constitution Day lecture is available at the
Social Science Forum website: http://www.umbc.edu/socsforum/

The lecture is sponsored by the Department of Political Science with
support from other departments and units.
