Web Graphic Design Internship

Located in Columbia, MD, a2z offers powerful web-based software applications that help increase and accelerate exhibit booth sales. Our clients also realize improved productivity in back office processes; increased connectivity with their membership, integration with their CRM and financial databases; and improved productivity.

a2z’s IT Internship is an exciting long-term (preferably at least an academic year or longer), part-time (10-20 hours a week) position with an interesting mix of IT responsibilities and learning experiences.

 

General Qualifications You Should Possess:

  • Undergrad with major in digital design, advertising or fine arts
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Self-driven to achieve goals; high energy level is essential, strong, dedicated work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Cooperative team attitude
  • Experience designing web sites, applications and animations
  • Good understanding of color theory and design concepts
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States part-time for any employer

Technical Skills You’ll Need:

·       Must be proficient in writing web pages in HTML and CSS

·       Working knowledge of JS and Flash

·       Experience with graphic design software such as PhotoShop and Illustrator

·       Awareness of browser compatibility issues and testing

·       Awareness of web usability methodologies (desired but not absolutely required)

Responsibilities:

·       Visualizing web site interface design

·       Designing interactive web pages

·       Web site content management
