Development Intern Needed ASAP!

Among responsibilities/opportunities:
- Research charitable foundations as it relates to grant preparation/applications
- Research special event opportunities within the community
- Assist with planning and execution of internal and external charity events that benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®
- Help prospect for corporate leadership volunteers and corporate sponsors
- Assist with donor thank-you acknowledgements, mailings and community relations
- Assist development staff with all facets of community outreach and development
Minimum requirements:
- Willingness to work 8-12 hours weekly for the semester duration; and an interest in gaining non-profit fundraising experience.
- Preferred qualifications: Good writing and public speaking skills; fundraising experience; Microsoft Office and data entry proficiency; and appreciation of charitable organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
