UMBC’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site is recruiting volunteers for the spring. Consider becoming a volunteer income tax preparer for low-income families in the local community! Volunteer work is flexible and on campus during the spring. No year level, major, or prior experience required!

 

LEARN HOW TO DO YOUR OWN INCOME TAXES

Get free training on campus and receive an official certification from the IRS.

 

EARN ACADEMIC CREDIT, A TRANSCRIPT NOTATION, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Available through the Economics department or Shriver Center. Work with clients one-on-one and gain a tremendous resume-builder.

 

GIVE BACK TO THE BALTIMORE COMMUNITY

Help support a highly-demanded service in your local community! Work is on campus and schedule is flexible.
