Fight The Stereotype!
An Event Hosted by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
Tomorrow, April 5th, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is hosting an event called Fight the Stereotype, in the UC Ballroom. Doors open at 4pm, event begins at 5 pm.
Featured Guests are:
Nina Davuluri, the First Indian-American Miss America
Dr. Julia Ross, the First Female Dean of the Engineering School
Topics include stereotypes, STEM Education and women empowerment. The first 50 tickets come with a MEET & GREET with Nina Davuluri. Additionally, the group will be collecting school supply donations at the door to give to local Franklin Elementary Middle School. Tickets are available at the CIC. It's free for both UMBC staff and students. See the attached flyer.
