Job Title:                    Intern, Geographic Information Systems – ServerIntegration

Duration:                   8 weeks, summer 2013

Job Summary:

The geographic information systems intern will analyze and configure applications and integration as part of a larger geospatial analytics initiative for Catholic Relief Services (CRS).  This geospatial analytics service will improve efficacy of and have a decisive impact on CRS’ overseas programs.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Analyze ArcGIS server security model and configuration options; recommend and implement configuration including user groups and permissions

·         Establish connector between ArcGIS server and ArcGIS online

·         Establish connector between SQL and ArcGIS server and demonstrate using sample geodatabase

·          Share recommendations with information technology team and incorporate feedback received

·          Create documentation for all work products

·         Report status and escalate issues

Qualifications:

·         Demonstrable experience or formal training using ArcGIS

·         Pursuing degree in Computer Science or related field
