Job Summary: Legg Mason's Information Technology department in Baltimore, MD (Harbor East) is offering full-time, paid, summer 2013 internships. Candidates must have completed their sophomore
year of college to qualify for this opportunity.
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work with business users to promote updated content (e.g., updated versions of PDF
documents)
- Update existing / develop new web pages
- Post updated videos to web sites
- Develop presentation templates used to generate web pages based on user entered data
Ideal Education and Experience:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information
Systems, or a related field
- Must have relevant work experience in information technology involving coding, and/or analysis.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with all levels of employee both directly (i.e.
phone) and indirectly (i.e. email)
- Positive attitude, team player, and ability to work independently
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- C# and/or Java, JavaScript (AJAX, JSON, JQUERY) DHTML/HTML5,XML, Content Management, SharePoint preferred
Interns must be able to commute to our downtown Baltimore location (Harbor East); parking is not provided by the Firm. A minimum of 37 hours per week is expected. EOE
