Maryland Public Service Scholars' Step Into Service Program - Applications Open Today!

Are you interested in exploring policy or nonprofit career paths, but not sure where to start? The Maryland Public Service Scholars Step Into Service program offers a paid pathway to explore and develop essential skills!

Participants will receive: 

• One-on-one mentorship from a public service professional throughout the spring semester
• A community partner organization placement to serve for 2 hours/week 
• Professional development seminars in a cohort of their peers 
• A $500 stipend upon completion of program requirements 

Program Timeline:

• Applications are open from Oct 7 - November 20, 2026.
• The program will run from February 11 - April 30, 2027, with a week off for Spring Break.
