QA INTERN

DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities
• Assist in functional testing of BoxTone features
• Assist in creating and upgrading the QA environment
• Assist in resolving client issues

Required 
• Must presently be enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program
• Must have some prior exposure to software testing and SDLC
• Must have some knowledge of at least one RDBMS, preferably Oracle
• Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
• Awareness of software QA and testing terminology
• Ability to write and execute test cases
• Ability to report and track defects
• Open and flexible attitude to applying one’s skills where needed
• Ability to apply a proactive approach to testing
• Ability to be detail oriented while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong team player
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Results oriented perspective
• The ideal candidate will have a true passion for QA!

Desired 
• Knowledge of any scripting tool (Perl, Python, etc.)

User InterFACE Intern

Responsibilities
• Build compelling user interfaces for BoxTone products using a mix of Ruby on Rails and AJAX (HTML/CSS/ JavaScript)
• Construct elegant and informational visualization of data sets 

Required Experience
• Must presently be enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program
• Must have a basic foundation in object oriented programming and practices
• Must have some basic knowledge of human factors and user interface design methodologies
• Open and flexible attitude to applying one’s skills where needed
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Team player
• Results oriented perspective
• Must have a passion for the field of User eXperience (UX)

Desired Experience
• Agile development methods
