Under Armour Archives Intern

This is a PAID Full-time Summer Internship that turns Part-time during the Academic Year.  This position pays $12 per hour.

What you’ll do as our Under Armour Archives Intern:
 
•Research companies who have existing archives
•Collect materials for the collection
•Research potential information and archive tracking systems
•Research, update, and maintain Under Armour’s Archive management software, the UA Vault
•Collect, organize, and catalog all Under Armour archive items into the UA Vault for future locating of these items for use both internally and externally
•Partner with the Brand Team to develop a written history of Under Armour from 1996 through its’ present and into its’ future using all available resources to make sure all information is factual and supported
•Preserve all archive items (written, digital, fabric, prototype, sample, etc.) with proper equipment and safety regulations in keeping the Brand’s history safe and secure at all times
•Identify executives and senior leaders that are longstanding teammates in the company to support the UA Archive initiative and champion the retrieval of the items and the information to work for the greater good of telling the Under Armour story
•Develop a centralized company & brand history capturing our company’s history since its’ beginnings in 1996
•Coordinate archive and museum space for use both internally and externally, constantly identifying best practices and new exhibits for museum to stay on-top-of its’ game in the area of corporate archive spaces
•Continue to identify best in class companies with both corporate archives and museums to share research, design, exhibits, best practices, and continue to learn what is important in archiving our company’s history and what the latest and greatest technology in doing so is, so Under Armour stays ahead of the game
•Coordinate all museum activities and rotating exhibits capturing all departments and big events on Campus and globally
•Assists in Campus events, Teammate activities, and hospitality events across the Campus and supports the needs of the Campus Events and Hospitality Team where and when needed
•Coordinate all hospitality events when needed and as directed to ensure Under Armour is a unrivaled experience for all guests

What UA is looking for in the Under Armour Archives Intern:

•Completed one or more academic years at a university or college with related degree; i.e. museum studies
•Previous internship or work related experience in a similar environment
•Exceptional written and oral communication skills
•Participation and Leadership with campus organizations, clubs, athletics teams, groups is a plus
•Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
•High level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Exhibit knowledge and know-how of library and cataloging systems and research experience with long term projects.
•Display familiarity with managing and formulating unique spatial capacities and capabilities and be able to coordinate the needs of a large and diverse group.
•Detail oriented, extremely organized, and able to manage large volumes of diverse items and information at once.
•Sharp problem-solving and logical reasoning skills as well as the ability to create complex yet easily accessible organizational structures.
•An ideal candidate is trustworthy and able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
