From Shriver Center Partner Jill Rowlett, Volunteer Program Manager, Maryland Food Bank:
GIANT is holding a Stuff-A-Truck event for us on Friday, September 19 from noon – 6 pm at their Timonium store, 2145 York Road, directly across from the Maryland State Fair grounds. We’ll need volunteers to hand out our Most Needed Items lists. And help people carry their donated items to the truck.
We are willing to take as many or as few people are willing to help for any chunk of time. They can either be inside or outside, but they will have to be standing.
If people are interested, please have them contact Beth Wedekind at bwedekind@mdfoodbank.org or 410.737.8282 ext 223. Beth will provide more information about the event to the volunteers.
