EXPECTED RESPONSIBILITIES
The Individual Advisory Services (IAS) intern is focused on partnering with IAS teams to provide operations, research, analytics, and reporting support including - performing demographic research, CRM data entry, asset tracking and resolution, and identifying the growth potential of clients. The IAS internship program provides business skills and technical training, as well as leadership development in the form of job shadowing, mentoring, and resume building.
Interns need to possess strong communication and computer skills, as well as a basic knowledge about the business and financial markets. This candidate is self-driven, motivated, and proactively seeks new tasks and challenges. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, be detail oriented and show a strong degree of ambition regarding your career. Due to the sensitivity of financial and client information the intern will be analyzing, professional discretion is required.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• REQUIRED: Must be able to commit up to 40 hours per week during the summer and 10 -15 hours per week during the 2013/2014 school year.
• Proven understanding of, and a commitment to, working in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
• Superior follow-through, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, initiative, creativity and flexibility.
• Effective time management and resource utilization skills.
• Self-driven, motivated, and proactively seeks new tasks and challenges.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple projects at once, and meet critical deadlines.
