Electric Vehicle Initiative Seeks PAID Summer Interns @UMBC
Web Programming, Web Design, & Digital Storytelling Interns
The UMBC BEVI Interns will focus on creating an interactive web site that promotes and explains the benefits of electric vehicles in Maryland. The UMBC students will work with students from 3 other colleges to form teams to support the initiative. The UMBC interns will focus on implementing a Wordpress web site to develop a mobile friendly web site and on creating a mobile application to support the BEVI project.
Applicants should have experience in one of the three areas: 1. web programming or game development and have an interest in mobile application development; 2. web page design and information architecture of web sites; OR 3. Digital storytelling, video editing, or writing experience for the web. Under the internship, students will make $10/hour and are expected to work 25 hours a week for 10 weeks in the summer. The Division of IT is willing to hire any student interested in working on this for an additional 15 hours a week to bring the number of paid hours to 400 for the summer. Students will work closely with DoIT staff on web-related projects for UMBC.
