Specific Job Description | Cyber Analyst for the monitoring and analysis of IDS/IPS or SIEM tool alerts, logs, and reports to make a determination and categorize suspected incidents for further investigation and/or action. When this determination is made, a report will be submitted for follow on to the second tier. Duties may include penetration testing, security analysis or systems administration. The successful candidate will support assigned projects as required, be responsible for carrying out assigned duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with policies set forth by the supervisor, and complete special projects and other duties as assigned, relating to the mission/function of the office. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. |
