Local Youth-Based Program Seeks Dedicated Leader

Step Outside Of Your Comfort Zone Through Leadership

Student leaders are an integral part of The Shriver Center's Service-Learning Program.  In partnership with UMBC, community partner Walden Circle supports youth at their Community Center.  There is still a vacancy for a leadership position Tuesday AND Thursday, 3-6:45 pm (due to the previous intern graduating last May).

There is a small stipend for the position.  To be considered, candidates:

  1. Must be available Tuesdays AND Thursdays, 3-6:45 pm
  2. Be willing to transport other UMBC students in a 12-passenger Shriver Center van (and have a valid Driver's License)
  3. Support recruitment efforts to engage other UMBC students in this service site.
  4. Attend Service-Learning Intern Meetings every other Friday, 12-1pm
Those interested should submit a resume ASAP to Service-Learning Program Coordinator Eloise Grose either via email at elgrose1@umbc.edu or in person at The Shriver Center, 1st floor of the Public Policy Building (just past the elevators).  We seek to fill this position immediately.  If you have questions, email Eloise or call at (410) 455-2493.
