Local Youth-Based Program Seeks Dedicated Leader

Step Outside Of Your Comfort Zone Through Leadership

Student leaders are an integral part of The Shriver Center's Service-Learning Program.  In partnership with UMBC, long-standing community partner College Gardens supports youth in their Community Center each day, Monday-Thursday, 2:15-5:45 pm. On Tuesdays & Thursdays, College Gardens is without a Service-Learning Intern (who graduated this past May).

There is a small stipend for the position.  To be considered, candidates:

  1. Must be available Tuesdays AND Thursdays, 2:15-5:45 pm
  2. Be willing to transport other UMBC students in a 12-passenger Shriver Center van (and have a valid Driver's License)
  3. Attend Service-Learning Intern Meetings every other Friday, 12-1pm (there is one this Friday, 9/14)
Those interested should complete an Intern Application via the link below and return it immediately to Service-Learning Program Coordinator Eloise Grose either via email at elgrose1@umbc.edu or in person at The Shriver Center, 1st floor of the Public Policy Building (just past the elevators).
