Serve as a Mentor
Each year, we ask talented, senior-level administrators in state agencies and nonprofit organizations to serve as mentors to our fellows.
Expectations of Mentors
* Provide a full-time experience for 10 weeks in the summer (approximately 4 days a week, 8 hours a day)
* Incorporate the fellow into your organization, providing a workspace, include the fellow in events and meetings, etc.
* Create and engage the fellow in unique and meaningful opportunities for learning and growth
* Complete a mid-point and final evaluation of the fellow
* Attend a mentor collaboration meeting (date TBD)
* Attend our Opening and Closing celebrations in support of the fellow (dates TBD)
- Host a Governor’s Summer Internship Program Fellow
- Host a Sondheim Nonprofit Leadership Fellow
- Host a Sondheim Public Service Law Fellow
- Host an MDOT Fellow
Additionally, we invite nonprofit organizations to serve as clients in the Capstone Project component where students work in groups as consultants, researching and conceptualizing a plan to address a need or issue your organization is experiencing.
