UnknownKasey Venn, Program Coordinator of SUCCESS

Kasey joined the SUCCESS team in 2016 and is a 2014 graduate of UMBC. Her position as Program Coordinator has allowed her to serve the students by organizing and overseeing their academic and employment ventures as well as train and manage traditional UMBC students who work in the various roles for the program. Kasey began working with individuals diagnosed with an intellectual disability as a camp counselor in college. From that experience she then knew that helping others achieve their goals and overcome limitations would be her purpose. For the past 4 years Kasey has worked with a local non-profit providing early intervention supports for children on the autism spectrum. Most recently Kasey held the position of Program Support Specialist for Itineris, an adult agency for individuals diagnosed with autism. During her time at Itienris she acted as a case manager and liaison for her clients and their families. She is currently a graduate student of Human Services Administration and hopes to use her degree to be able to support and develop programs that benefit the welfare and education of the intellectually disabled. Kasey is passionate about the conservation of nature and staying active. She enjoys exposing her clients to these interests by providing them with the structure and accommodations to gain independence and fully engage in the world that surrounds them.
